From Paris to Shanghai, Temple of Light returns with their second exhibition, split into two parts --- "Renaissance Art Visions" and "Matter of Painting" -- another set of fully involved and fully immersive lighting installations on the banks of the Huangpu River. If you haven't been before, "Temple of Light" is a 600-square-meter, 7-meter-high box outfitted with "3LCD projector technology and Meyer Sound's ULTRA-X20 spatialized sound system" — it's basically a big box that bathes you entirely in an undulating light show for 40 minutes. Their first show, created by the world-famous award-winning Danny Rose creative studio, featured gigantic renderings of feudal Japanese art, replete with Great Waves of Kanawaga and exploding sakura trees.

"" is very much a similar concept and features all your favorite Italian High Renaissance artists/ninja turtles in an immersive environment. Iconic works of art like the Mona Lisa, Michelangelo's David, and Botticelli's Birth of Venus are projected and manipulated on giant screens and splashed with color, in a jaw-dropping confrontation of classic art and modern technology.

Matter of Painting takes inspiration from Action Paintings in 1950s New York City, transforming the walls of the immersive theater INSIDE into an all-engrossing canvas where an "invisible digital artist" explores a myriad of colours and textures of painting materials. The work unfolds like a live painting performance that envelopes the audience in stunning visuals and a meditative atmosphere.
