Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet will perform Vladimir Burmeister’s version of Swan Lake, which represents a trademark for the Stanislavsky Ballet. This version also has been performed for many years at the Palais Garnier in Paris and La Scala in Milan. It tells the tragic romance between Odette, turned into a swan by an evil witch, and Prince Siegfried, who chances upon her while out hunting. When one of the swans turns into a beautiful young woman he is instantly captivated. But will his love prove strong enough to break the evil spell? Here's a chance to see it performed by Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet, one of Russia's leading ballet companies.
