A new generation of indie rockers has been causing a stir in and around Shanghai this past year - a collective of bands swinging for the fences and charting their own path - converge on Yuyintang Park this Thursday. From the rugged post-punk theatrics of Jiaxing’s Binding Time (formerly 0311), to Acid Room, out of Suzhou, whose combustible mix of grunge, post-punk, and noise rock has been lighting up stages across town, and finally Shanghai’s own Yepusa - who have built quite the fanbase themselves while honing their eclectic collection of songs that touch on everything from tender noise punk to nimble post punk.
