Job Description
Premium service consultants deliver our highest tier of study abroad service, facilitating primary and middle school children in applying for the UK’s top independent schools. Consultants will map out application journeys, provide advice on school selection and how best to prepare, deliver assessment training, and build relationships with both local clients and UK schools. The role will also include an initial period of tuition delivery and student mentoring.
Responsibilities
Consulting and application planning:
- Assess students’ academic/language ability, evaluate personality, and judge general suitability for UK study.
- Understand client’s long-term aims for their child and their general study abroad ambitions.
- Produce tailored application and study plans to help students achieve their goals.
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of and stay up-to-date with the UK’s leading independent schools.
Student Management:
- Guide and motivate students to keep them on track for their application and study targets.
- Organize after-school and weekend tuition for students based on tailored requirements.
- Outline clear guidance and instructions for tutors.
- Continually check and track the progress of students via communication with tutors/schools and adjust study plans as necessary.
- Guide students to write up personal statements and design portfolios.
- In cases where students have already entered UK schools, keep in touch with students and tutors to ensure continued progress.
Client management:
- Regularly feedback and update to parents on their child’s progress.
- Advise and explain study goals and plans to achieve them.
- Understand and effectively manage parent expectations.
- Help manage parents' concerns/ requirements/issues once the student is abroad.
Communication with Schools:
- Email and phone school admissions for up-to-date entry requirements, available spaces, or facilitating applications.
- Favorably present your students to target schools and provide comprehensive materials to highlight their strengths.
- Build personal relationships with UK school admissions to help smooth lines of communication.
- Keep in touch with schools overseas to track students' progress and keep an eye on issues.
- Request regular reports from the schools/guardians.
UK Visit Accompaniment:
- Accompany students/clients to the UK for assessment or school visits, typically over a week-long period.
- Facilitate school visit days to ensure smooth and personable interaction with the admissions team.
- Spend time getting to know the clients and students in a more personal setting and introduce them to the UK environment.
Tuition:
- Provide tutorship to our students in English language, maths, and any other subjects the candidate is qualified in for the first six months as the client base is built up.
- Submit monthly tuition plans and feedback reports for students under your tuition.
Marketing Activities:
- Participating in short social media videos discussing experiences and schools for our wider online audience.
- Writing articles about schools, issues faced by clients/students, etc. for our BE Schools Guide and website.
- Writing up success stories of students.
- Represent the company at events/dinners/galas we are invited to attend.

Requirements
- British National
- Experience in tutoring children
- Ability to communicate effectively with children
- Strong interpersonal skills and self-confidence
- Strong work ethic – willing to work weekends/evenings
- Highly organized and able to manage time effectively
- Resourceful nature and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of initiative
- Spoken Chinese - Preferred but not mandatory
- Experience within the independent school sector - preferred but not mandatory
- A clear understanding of the UK education system - preferred but not mandatory
