Job Description

The right candidate for this job is a young, creative mind with a strong interest in arts and stage, who’s also fine with spending half of their day with administrative and on the operational side of running a ticketing platform.  There’s also a creative element – editing, researching, visiting art shows, that kind of thing.

Operations of SmartTicket (70%)

• Liaise with all partners of SmartTicket (Arts, Stage, 香港六合彩资料网, 香港六合彩资料网, F&B). Collect their events, work with the editor to edit the description
• Translate event descriptions into Chinese
• Upload events to the SmartTicket backend
• Provide reports to SmartTicket partners after the sale of tickets has finished and work with the accounting department to finalize the sale
• Sign and negotiate contracts with new SmartTicket partners
• SmartTicket customer support, including phone and email support (3-4 phone calls per day)
• Work with the editorial team to get maximum exposure to SmartTicket events on 香港六合彩资料网.com

Editorial Support (20%)

• Help our editor research city news by reading through major Chinese publications (~1 hour per day)
• Pitch stories and ideas to the editor
• Help with research for articles, especially for the “How To” Column
• Write featured articles for the website, especially in the areas of arts and stage
• Write shorter articles to promote shows that are listed on SmartTicket.cn
• Visit shows that we sell tickets for to improve event and venue descriptions
• Source and liaise with Chinese freelancer editors, photographers, and videographers
• Push SmartTicket content to our WeChat groups

Editorial Listings (10%)

• Be in touch with 香港六合彩资料网 partners to list their events on the website, including live music venues, jazz venues, business organizations, community groups …

We offer a nice, friendly, welcoming working environment. We are currently a small team (~10 people) in a small downtown office (near Taiko Hui). Working language is both English and Chinese.

Requirements

• Native Chinese speaker
• Excellent English skills – you’ll need to be able to write simple event descriptions and shorter articles in English. The ideal candidate has studied overseas for a few years in an English-speaking environment
• Available to start right now, for a full-time position in Shanghai
• A background and / or a lot of interest in: arts, music, film, theater
• A wide range of personal interests
• Excellent research skills. When you need to research information, you know where to look for and don’t consider “asking a friend” as the first thing
• Strong knowledge of Shanghai – you should be familiar with the arts and stage landscape of Shanghai
• Candidate with National Performance Agent Certificate 演艺经纪人资格证 preferred.
