An intimate, luxe, painstakingly assembled and very expensive cocktail bar, courtesy of New York "mixsultant" Joseph Boroski. It hews close to the model set out by it's Bangkok predecessor. It's hidden behind a featureless metal door on Fumin Lu. It's "invitation-only", asking that customers call or email ahead to reserve a seat. It's dark, illuminated mostly by candles scattered across the long wooden bar top, and covered in rhinoceros beetles. There's no real menu, just a list of base spirits with prices starting at 100rmb, from which the bartender will design a cocktail for you. Sounds gimmicky, and it is, but the result is some of the best, most technically sophisticated and interesting cocktails in the city.
