Bark Grooming Center is all about owner David Fu. He has been rescuing Shanghai’s street animals for over 10 years, and he facilitates pet adoption for rescued animals in addition to his everyday business.

In addition to grooming services, Bark practices what they call ‘social boarding,’ meaning the pets spend the entire day playing together in a single room, except for walks and nighttime rest hours (dogs and cats are separated, of course). Space in the program is limited according to availability. Make sure you have your pet’s vaccination record ready.



Price per day: Cats 100rmb, small-medium sized dogs 120rmb; not including food (provided by the owner). Book: Phone and WeChat (ID: BarkShanghai). Fu speaks Mandarin and English, and they can also provide services in German, French, and Cantonese. Pickup is available at a 40rmb flat rate.



Bark also does in-house grooming for dogs, which is 120rmb for bathing small to medium dogs and 140rmb and up for large dogs. Full grooming, haircut included, is anywhere from 270-480rmb depending on size.
