Bad news for beer fans. As the mercury's sitting pretty at 34 degrees and the sky's (sort of) clear, the 9th Annual has been canceled on account of the weather. The weather to come, really. Set to take place this weekend (September 23 and 24), it's not postponed, just cancelled, due to a 75% chance of rain and a "lack of space availability after those dates in 2017." Come back next year, they say. Gutsy move. Most festivals wait until the day before to make that call. And this raises all kinds of questions about the name. Will it be the 10th BREW Beer Fest in 2018? Or is it still the 9th then? Anyway, sorry Shanghai, to drink this weekend.
