Unravel Storytelling Series Returns This Thursday

If you're looking for a way to interact with the community that doesn't involve gobs of lovely booze or having to sit through some extended Green Something guilt session on desertification or the impending doom of the planet, you should check out the next "Unravel" storytelling event happening . It's exactly what it sounds like: A series of storytellers culled from the Shanghai community telling their stories to an audience. Storytelling events are becoming more popular the world over, and this is the inevitable Shanghai version. Their last one last month attracted over 100 people to Jing'an bar , with people hanging all over the stairs and over every word. Quite good. It's different from the stand-up comedy nights; humor is not the specific focus with these things, and each storyteller has been pre-vetted to keep the that awful cringe factor to a minimum.
