Yup. They've finally revealed the endgame of their decades of Shanghai operations, all the opening and closing of and ; Buying Hugh Jackman's gym. Okay, what else do we have. A... single entendre? A rooftop (re)opens soon, a decent place in a mall closes, and website announces that Shanghai has some really, really good bars (no shit!). Deets after the jump.

Now Open

Things opened on Fumin Lu. and , go together like banana and blueberry jam. We tried them. . Presented without comment, Yellow & Peach from .

has opened its rooftop (sorry, it hasn't yet, read the UPDATE below) with a bit of an updated look. Something about making the interior match the sky and milky way. It's heady stuff. Here, they sent us pictures of the terrace!

[UPDATE: Oops. May have jumped the gun there a bit. That's on me. It's not actually open yet, it'll be opening in early July. If you were wondering why the terrace looked the same in the old picture, it's because it was an old picture. Here's the picture of the new terrace.

Dammit THE CUT you got me again. Okay. Well, we'll update you when it's actually open. Maybe even go have a look at this celestial theme they're talking up.]

Now Closed

closed down. By all accounts, it was a good spot! But seems like the location didn't do it any favors. Municipal gov't might want everything moved into a mall, but mall food courts... eh.

Word Around Town

Woooo Shanghai! Three cocktail bars in ! Coming at numero dos on the list is , that super secret speak-easy that everyone, everyone knows but we all still sort of smirk and cast sideways glances at the door before we grandly slide back that bookcase like we're in a murder mystery or something. Coming in at numero nine-o, , those fine Texan purveyors of finer spirits. Finally, Shingo Gokan takes a second space at number 19, , specifically the Sober Society portion of it. Man. Shanghai! Still killing it!

has been renamed to Where Gastro Club. 'kay!

Camel Group has decided that all this food business is for chumps, so they've bought the rights to F45, a brand of gyms that was started by Hugh Jackman's personal trainer. The brand boasts the big name endorsements like Nicole Kidman (more Aussies!), Terrell Owens and the Dallas Mavericks.

What a weird thing. But think about it. It's not a guilt for all the food they keep pumping out of , , , , (... did I get them all?). This was their plan all along. They're expanding the Camel empire to cover the very mechanisms of life itself; eat the calories. Burn the calories. Eat more calories. Burn more calories. Eat. Burn. Eat. Burn.

Anyway they're opening like four of them and the first one's coming into sometime next month.
