Festivals in Shanghai keep rolling in. This one's a fun one though, so we thought it deserves special mention. The folks at (also of Chili Fest pedigree) are hosting the second annual on May 12 at the Jing'an restaurant. It's... exactly what it sounds like: an afternoon spent in reverence for all that is spicy in sauce format. They'll have a couple of boutique vendors plying their arcane sauces, snacks, drinks deals, and the centerpiece -- a hot stuff eating competition. Which is insane people shoving chill peppers into their faces for their own fame, glory, bragging rights and to the amusement of others in attendance.
