Brad Turley came to Shanghai as a chef in 2003, and made a Turley-sized imprint on the city's dining scene almost immediately (239, Maneo, the opening chef of , for the old-timers). Now, sixteen years later, his last venture in China, the terrace restaurant seven floors above Yueyang Lu, is "taking a break" to figure out his next step. No plans to start a new, permanent restaurant again. For many of us, and for Turley himself, it's really the end of an era.
