Here's a twist you didn't see coming: people have taken over the whimsical rooftop garden that . You thought all those herbs and plants were going to waste? So did I. We were wrong. In a surprise move, The Nest announced they will "pop-up" in the space as "" from September 12 until it gets too cold, opening Thursday to Saturday (like ) but installing group chef Freddy Raoult and beverage director Michael Chen. Whoa. Huh. Whoa. Raoult will be cooking a 10+-course degustation menu for 688rmb (like Botanik) and will be sourcing "special ingredients from China" like yak, juniper, betel, buffalo milk, Yunnan pigeon, marigold, and geranium (like Botanik). All in all, it seems more like a torch-passing than a new pop-up, and an opportunity for Raoult to cook in a way he has not at The Nest, or (like Botanik?).
