Michelin stars and purple hair weren't enough to crack the Shanghai market, at least on the Bund: "demon chef" Alvin Leung's has packed up its bag of molecular tricks and turned off the thermo-circulators at . In a "Moving Annoucenment" over the weekend, the one-star restaurant wrote: "Bo Shanghai is currently undergoing internal adjustments and seeking a new location in order to better serve our valued guests. During this period, service will be suspended at Five on the Bund. We will be back with a brand new look when we are ready and hope to welcome you once again. Stay tuned for our collaborations and pop-up events in different cities!" That leaves a little to be desired. Like opening date? Location? Concept? Are they really just on vacation while real estate agents do their thing?
