It feels like the paint isn't even dry on the last SHContemporary, but already event organizers have begun releasing information regarding the 2009 SHContemporary -- probably the biggest big-time, yearly art event in Shanghai.
It will again be at the running from September 10-13. Participating Asian, European, and American galleries are still being determined but a new Fair Director has been named: Colin Chinnery, former Chief Curator and Deputy Director at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) in Beijing.
The ShContempt will be arranged in three sections: "Discoveries," a section of individual projects from emerging Asian and International artists; "Platform" a section dedicated to chosen galleries showcasing selected artists; and a "Best of Galleries" section, with over 100 invited galleries representing their works.
