has been boarded up and closed for business, left to return to the boutique design Creator from whence it came. The nineteen room hotel was a pioneer on the South Bund, with its urban/damage chic look and restaurant by international cheflebrity Jason Atherton. It attracted a lot of attention for its Neri + Hu design but that faded after a few years, and now with all hotels suffering badly, it appears it could not continue. A phone call to the hotel confirmed its closure. R.I.P. Waterhouse Hotel, you had a good run.
