The rumors have been confirmed. Aerosmith will NOT be playing Shanghai. The Boston-based rock band slated to play Hongkou stadium this Wednesday, August 21, has cancelled, citing on its that the "local promoter was unable to meet contractual obligations."
... Maybe someone forgot to throw away all of the brown M&Ms or something.
Front man Steven Tyler was quoted on the website as saying:
"We are extremely upset to have disappointed our dedicated fans. They have welcomed us into their country and due to uncontrollable circumstances we will not be able to perform. We were so excited to share our music with them and look forward to one day returning and giving them the show they deserve."
