UPDATE: Nah, he's not coming after all. The people involved faffed too hard and fluffed it. No Avicii this weekend.
After much faffing and rumor mongering (mostly by us), it's confirmed that Avicii is coming to Shanghai this weekend. He's signed a last-minute deal to appear at M2 on Friday night.
Avicii is one of the most successful EDM artists at the moment, with two singles currently lingering in the upper reaches of the charts in half a dozen countries: "Wake Me Up" and "You Make ME". He was due to play a 10,000-person arena show this weekend but the venue fell through. Now he'll be at M2.
This was all only confirmed in the last couple of hours. The promoters are still faffing around. If we get ticket info we'll put it up.
