Some sad news for fans of Jing'an-based dopeness. Friendly scene local Dope Shifu is closing down for good this Friday night. They had a respectable three-year run in the northern location, slinging beer, ribs, and good vibes to Shanghai's fledgling skater, graffiti, and hip hop scene. Head down on Friday from 9pm for one last party with longtime Dope Shifu DJ Skinny Brown (of Popsuda) playing... "shit he likes". Which is usually dancehall luminaries of yore spitting "POPASUDA MURDURA!" via dubplate. Expect some free booze flying around as the bar kicks it out one last time for the fam. RIP Dope Shifu. Fingers crossed they'll have another crack at it in a better location.
