Imagine a inside a train station KTV. Then fill it with characters you only know from WeChat moments (how I found the place), a lanky Shanghainese DJ with neck tats playing reggaeton, one or two backup dancers, pink and purple strobe lights, some fake Moschino and spiky fashion hats from Qipu Lu Taobao, and a treacherous but beautiful pearly white staircase. The vibe is like hazy VHS footage of an after-party in the shabbiest hip-hop clubhouse ever, in slow-motion.
